How psychic awareness helps you accept your humanity
The spiritual void isn't a lack of power, it’s a resistance to being human.
Psychic awareness is often romanticized as a superpower, an ability to see what others can’t, to know what’s hidden, to bend reality with a glance. It’s elusive, enticing, and deeply misunderstood. It promises a kind of control in a world that feels chaotic. And for many, the idea of unlocking that control feels like winning the “game of life”.
But here’s the truth: being psychic doesn’t make you powerful. It makes you sensitive. And sensitivity without humility is just performance.
I never “discovered” my gifts in some flash of lightning or Marvel-style awakening. I cultivated them. I fixated on them. And what I found wasn’t control or certainty; it was the fragile truth that psychic power doesn’t save you from being human. It might even make you feel it more. Because no matter how clear your intuition is, you’ll still lose people you love. You’ll still wake up with doubt, get the wool pulled over your eyes, ache for connection, and feel joy slip through your fingers sometimes like water.
The real path isn’t psychic, it’s spiritual. And that path asks something harder than being talented or “gifted.” It asks for humility.
Spirituality doesn’t make life easier. It forces you to meet life where you are. It requires you to admit you might be wrong, that your perspective is incomplete, that your ego is loud and often leading you in circles. There’s no material reward for walking this path. In fact, most of the time, the more spiritually awake you become, the more aware you are of how little control you actually have and that nothing and no one is above reality.
But what you gain is presence. You begin to experience life as precious, not perfect. You understand that this moment, this breath, this body, this messy human experience is sacred, because it’s fleeting. Whether we get one life or many, we may not remember this one the way we remember a dream. And that alone makes it holy.
Psychic gifts may open doors, but spirituality teaches you how to walk through them. It roots you in your humanity, even as it calls your soul higher. It reminds you that your power doesn’t derive from avoiding pain or predicting outcomes. It’s in how you respond to the chaos with more grace than you did yesterday.
And that kind of growth is invisible. But it’s everything.
